The is the BEST Password Manager - I have used this for years and the latest update is awesome! Since the latest update, I don’t need to use Drop Box to sync all my devises, I just use iCloud! It works without any issues at all. I have Data Vault on my MacBook Air, my iPad Mini and my iPhone. What is great about this is, I can make a change to any of my devises and it will sync the other devises for me, always keeping my important and up to date information on what ever devise I am using at the time, it doesn’t get any better than that for me. It is also very secure with the 128 bit encryption standard and the premium level allows a 256 bit encryption to keep your passwords safe! The last but most important item for me is the owner of this software company. Marc is incredible, he is ALWAYS available and works hard to make sure you are satified. Over the years, I have had questions or due to my mistake not understood a feature of this product. Marc has gone above and beyond to make sure that his product is working correctly and I am utilizing all the features of this software. I can honestly say that he is the easiest and best developer I have EVER worked with on the app’s that I own. I would highly recomend you buying this app if you are in need of an affordable and easy to use Password Manager.

Version 4.6.7

Promising app, but VERY POOR tech support - I tried loads of password managers for my iPhone before settling on DataVault. And for awhile, I was completely satisfied with both the iOS and the OS X versions. A few months ago, however, when I synced the two devices, I realized that the desktop version no longer registered any of the new entries that I had made on my iPhone. I tried deleting the Mac app and reinstalling. Didn't fix it. Then v.4.6.7 came out. But instead of fixing the previous version's bugs, the desktop verision wouldn't even open anymore!! Initially, tech support was very responsive. But after trying numerous fixes (from the FAQ's section, tech support, as well as my own ideas), and getting nowhere, tech support just stopped responding to my emails. It's as if they think, "If we simply ignore this customer long enough, he and his problem will just go away." I'd really hate to have to switch password manager apps, especially since the iOS version works so well. But if I can't even open the desktop version, let alone sync info between the two apps, then I guess I'll have to switch. And all because of lousy tech support!

Did I get a refund - I am having too much trouble with synchronizing datavault among all my devices and it’s very hard to understand how to restore information from a backup file on my iCloud (?). Since my phone got stolen recently, I wanted to install datavault on my macbook air. It wouldn’t let me unless I purchase it again for $10. I purchased it only to try and retrieve a backup of all my passwords, and then I was going to just delete it. It appears that I wasn’t even able to use the purchased datavault to restore all my passwords. So all of my passwords are lost. I asked for a refund at least so I can at least break even with my horrible decision to use datavault. NOPE. They didn’t give me a refund. Anyway, why not just use an excel doc on google drive to store all your passwords? It’s easier to syncronize, if you put it on a password-protected account different from all your other files you’ll be fine, and it’s cheaper.

Version 6.1.5
Review by El Guapo ✔

Does not work with Chrome. No extension available. - The description in the Apps Store and in the "User Guide for Mac" on the Ascendo web site clearly state that DataVault has an extension that allows one to use DataVault on Chrome for Mac. However, that is not the case. No such extension for Chrome for Mac exists. Numerous reviews on the Chrome Web Store confirm this fact, if you want additional verification…. Do not waste your time or money if your intention is to use DataVault on Chrome for Mac. Only extensions for Safari and Firefox are currently available for the Mac. Giving this app one star because the description states something that is patently false. Downloading this app was a colossal waste of time. Uninstalled.

Great app with outstanding customer service... - Five stars!! I have been using DataVault Password Manager for some time and found it to be the perfect app for what I needed. Love that it works so flawlessly accross my iMac and IOS devices. When I had a question about syncing the information to my husband’s devices also (he has a different account) DataVault’s customer service responded promptly and were very helpful in sending step by step instructions on what I needed to do and how to set it up. They also went the extra step and followed up by making sure I was able to accomplish what I wanted. I thoroughly recommend DataVault to anyone and everyone needing to store their logins, accounts, personal information and passwords safely, and be able to access their information from other devices. Thank you DataVault!

I’ve used this for years… ALWAYS reliable and stable! - FIRST: GET A PASSWORD MANAGER. period. Then USE IT, for ALL your passwords. Make it your habit. Then use it to make longer, more secure passwords, and change them easily. Truly, it is a worthwhile investment, and loads better than a ratty notebook in the drawer by your keyboard. [End PSA rant] I recommend DataVault, as I’ve used it for years, and it has never disappointed me. DataVault has stood the test of time, a rarity in the iOS universe. It’s remained relevant and become more powerful and easier to use, without bloating into something it aughtn’t be in the first place. The desktop-iOS integration is seamless, and iCloud sync works flawlessly across my devices. If I remember correctly, DataVault was a month or two behind 1Password to introduce Touch ID (which saves loads of time), but when they update, it works… period. In fact, in all the years I’ve used DV, no update has ever been unstable or flaky–also a rarity for iOS apps. This developer takes both our security and our trust seriously.

This is a terrific product with the best customer service - Like most people, I have many accounts, with multiple logins and passwords. Keeping track of them has alwsy been a challenge, at least until I purchased DataVault. Since then, I have been able to maintain all of my important account information in a single location, synchronized across all of my devices. More importantly, I have been able to implement a higher level of security by using multiple and stronger passwords for my most important accounts. Thank you for creating such a useful and easy to use product. In addition to a great product, I really need to call out their customer service organization as well. About a week ago, I decided to build a template for my airline programs. When I built the template, I experienced a problem with selecting an icon to represent the template I created. I documented the information and forwarded off to customer service. Today, I noticed that an update to the software was released, which included a fix for the problem I reported. This was a very pleasant surprise as my experience with other products has been that these issues take some time to be addressed. My thanks to Acendo for a great product and excellent support operation. Best regards.
