Cuttlefish Video Converter is the ultimate video encoder for iTunes, iPods, iPhones, iPads and AppleTVs! It couldn't be simpler to use: drag-and-drop the videos you want to use with the above software / devices, select the audio and video quality, tell it what device you wish to use it with and click "Encode". It's that easy to make iTunes and i-device ready videos!
You can also optionally instruct Cuttlefish to use as little or as much processing power as you like. Tell Cuttlefish to use limited resources if you want to run other software at full speed while simultaneously encoding video, or use as much as possible to finish encoding faster. It's up to you!
Cuttlefish can read and encode just about anything: mpg (mpeg), flv, wmv, asf, avi, divx, xvid, mov, mp4, mkv, you name it. Cuttlefish will ensure the aspect ratio looks great and that it works beautifully with iTunes and your Apple media device.

Don't waste your money - I was looking for something to convert my movies to work with my XBox. Some mp4 files that I already have worked just fine, but files converted with this utility were all choppy, the video stopped every 10-20 seconds and the audio was about 3-4 seconds off. I spent hours trying every different combination of settings I could, but none of them worked. I wish I could get my money back. I finally just downloaded and installed ffmpeg since it's free and works fine (good if you aren't afraid of the command line).

Works for me - I found this to be just what i was looking for converted 3 large files right away no problems, its simple, price is good. very useful. looking forward to using it for more projects.
Might as Well Use Handbrake - Handbrake is free and works much better. I am mad I spent the money on this one.
Not Phenomenal Enough - Cuttlefish comes with a simple and direct UI; no frills, but easy to use, and stable so far. I have two issues with with Cuttlefish: 1. Phenonmenal (Video Quality) level just isn't Phenomenal enough. 2. Poor handling of errorenous bitsteam --> some files did not transcode properly, the video stream will stop playing (while audio stream continues) midway through the file.
