This thirteen thousand (13,000) page digital dictionary/gazetteer (version 4) supplements all other paper crossword dictionaries and is by far the largest and most complete work of its kind. It is the heavyweight of crossword references. The dictionary is over eleven thousand (11,500) pages long and the gazetteer content is over one thousand (1500) pages. The software allows for extensive easy searching and browsing, including specialized gazetteer (geography) sub-searches to find rivers, cities, language, coin, measure, VIPs and much more. The total work contains over one hundred and ninety four thousand (194,000) individual look-up words with over 1.9 million total words including look-up word definitions (clues) and supporting information, all cross referenced. The included word entries are timely (year 2010) and extend back over seventy years to represent more puzzler clues than can be found in anything available. Also included is almanac material (i.e. Nobel Prize & Academy Award winners, Shakespeare, sports, film and songs) and extensive foreign language content. A new feature of version 4 allows the user to generate their own dictionary of up to fifty thousand (50,000) look-up words with an allotment of 50 characters for clues for each look-up word. This user created private dictionary has the same search and sort functions as that of the main dictionary.

Nice app, but I haven - I downloaded this on 29 June 2011 and paid the requisite $8.99, which is the same price on their website. Given that I did not purchase it through their website, which must be accessed to use the application, I did not have one of their own official order numbers and hence, they would not give me access. Thinking this could easily by remedied with a quick email with an attachment of the App Store receipt, I waited for the "magic number" that would get me in. All I got was an automated reply. I sent another email with the same attachment, this time requesting that a real person reply to my request. This time I got an email from their customer service-rather disjointed and unclear as to what more they needed for documentation. They did warn me not to send my credit card number in an email. Fat chance! They had already by sitting on my money for more than three weeks without even acknowledging me as a paying customer. But I patiently sent another email with ANOTHER copy of the App Store receipt. This one was kicked back by an automated reply informing me that they did not reply to, nor even read, unsolicited customer service mail. Silly me! I failed to use their "certified" customer service message as the basis for my reply, so I sent them a reply with ANOTHER copy of my receipt. Sadly, it doesn't look like I'm going to get to use what I paid for. Too bad; it looked like a very useful tool for a crossword lover like myself. PS: They did have time to put a prominent banner on their website advertising their availability on the Apple App Store. Rather ironic.....
