Description:

David Dvorin, the former Manager of Educational Development for Apple's Pro Apps division, shows you how to get the most out of Logic's ESX24 Digital Sampler!

The EXS24 is the workhorse sampler that sits at the base of many modern musical compositions. With it's ability to stream digital samples directly off your computer's hard drive, the EXS24 is an extremely powerful studio tool.

In this tutorial program, David Dvorin demonstrates essential ESX24 sampling skills including how to build your own custom EXS24 instruments. In fact, by the end of this tutorial you'll be able to confidently create realistic multi-sample instruments using zone and velocity mapping.

You'll also learn how to accurately trim and loop samples, how to simulate vibrato and use the EXS24's filter section to add realism, and how to import many popular sample libraries including Akai sample CDs and Giga Sampler libraries.

This tutorial provides you with the quick-way into Logic's ESX24 Sampler. If you're looking to to get the most out of the EXS24, this tutorial is a perfect jump-start.

Review by I paid for this but they gave

You know what would be REALLY great? - A Video that teaches you how to take LP’s WORTHLESS Steinway Piano and turn it into a Fantastic Stage Presence Piano! All these macPro Videos are aimed at making you pass a test like you were in high school or something, but in the REAL WORLD you have to take LP’s worthless Steinway piano samples and try to get a LIVE, DYNAMIC, FULL PRESENCE STAGE PIANO. These guys just don’t get it. It would really be great if they PRODUCED A DETAILED STEP by STEP Video of how to produce a LIVE, DYNAMIC, FULL PRESENCE STAGE PIANO in the recordings. “OH! But everybody wants different sounds from their piano” DDDDDUUUUHHHHHH!!!!!!! Well then make one video “How to take LP’s Steinway and make it sound just like George Winston’s piano in the song “THANKSGIVING” and then demonstrate the steps in detail on just how to do that! Video #2 could be: “How to take LP’s Steinway and make it sound exactly like Joni Mitchell’s piano in her song “River” and then do it! Video #3 could be “How to tke LP’s Steinway and make it sound exactly like Ray Charle’s Piano in his song “Georgia on my mind” and then DO IT! See, the guys who produce these macproVideos all think you buy their videos to learn how to pass a written test. I buy the videos to take LP’s worthless Steinway Samples and turn them into a fantastic, live, true realistic STAGE PRESENCE! Too bad these guys don’t know what the real world wants because all the videos that I’ve bought from them so far teach me one or two commands but otherwise are completely worthless to me as a music producer trying to SELL MY MUSIC!!!!!! Untill they get with the real world and DEMONSTRATE STEP BY STEP HOW TO PRODUCE AMAZING QUALITY SOUNDS, then I will never waste my money on another macproVideo as long as I live. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me!
