Description:

How many times have you been doing HTML or CSS work and thought, "I wish I knew the exact CSS color values for that color right there?" Now you can use the MacOS color picker and its sampling magnifying glass to select any spot on your screen and know the values to user for CSS or HTML.

ColorTagGen is a simple application that generates HTML/CSS tags from a color. ColorTagGen lets you use the MacOS color picker to pick a color. It displays the Red/Green/Blue (RGB) values and the HTML/CSS to be inserted into your web page. It allows you to pick from the 4 possible ways of specifying the color in the CSS Spec. It tells you if the color is web safe or a unix color.

Nice, simple, easy to use - It's a nice app that does one thing very well, and you can't argue with free. I can see this being very handy when editing/creating a Bowtie skin to match a desktop theme.

One Glitch-Otherwise Great - I got this app since i am making a website. I was working on the CSS portion and needed a color. I clicked on the magnifining glass and then on the pixel. It showed me the RGB and Hex value correctly. But then my mouse pointer dissapeared. Unless I used ⌘Q and quit the application, I could not easily get my cursor back. Please Fix.

Great! (Just 1 comment…) - It does what I need it to! The only thing that it lacks is the color picker window should be integrated into the main window. Currently I have to drag two windows around instead of one. And overall the app would look cleaner with only 1 window.

Exactly what I was looking for - As a web designer and sometimes graphic designer, it helps to be able to pick an HTML color from a client's logo or graphic so that you can match it exactly. This little app gives you the RBG and the HTML color codes. Thanks Ron!
