It has me ready to lay down more money - Okay, some people are going to be disappointed in this game, because some people are always disappointed in things they pay $9.99 for. This game has its flaws, but I am keeping with my five star review to average out the whiners that are going to give it one star when they really should go a two or a three. That being said, I hold fast with a four star rating. In my gaming days, point and click were the bulk of the market, and they are getting harder to find, just like a good side scroller was for the longest time. The characters were good, the plot was great, and the puzzles did make you think… all part of a successful game. It was short and I beat it in one day, which is kinda sad since I paid eight bucks for it, but also, I only paid eight bucks for it. We need to remember that content does have value and there were no in-app purchases or ads in this game. These guys have set up a chance to get another twenty or thirty dollars out of me depending on how many more episodes they go with. But now the bad, and I hope the programers listen. THE STATION IS TOO BUGGY!!!! Players reading this review will not get any spoilers from this note: Save often, mainly because this game will lock up on you, at least that was my experience on my MacBook Air. Walking across the station, which you have to do many times, involves walking through this one desk type thing, and maybe or maybe not making it across. It also froze in some of the zoomed in scenes. This is the first version, so I kinda expect some patches pretty soon, but I had the problem regardless of what graphic setting I had it on. I plan to finish out the series unless I have a bad run at the next couple of episodes.

How Slow Can You Go? - My first try at this series. Can't imagine why it continued. It is the slowest moving game I have played in ten years. Comic book graphics, spinning wait icons, crashes, no fast speed and no move ahead (much of the time) for conversations. You can't save from some positions so when it locks up my MAC I get to go through an entire slow talking, slow walking (oh yeah, the heroine walks through or over desks) scene. Wasted $$

Clever game hampered by bugs - This game could have been great. It had a clever, challenging, complicated storyline. But I encountered so many problems that I ended up having to search forums to solve problems -- not something most users would want to do. One of the solutions was to set the graphics quality very low. And still, the game was clunky. Characters walked through furniture, for instance, among other problems. Moving characters around was quite difficult as well. Minus those problems, I would have given the game five stars -- for its many twists and plot turns. It takes a very committed player to get through this game. If you're ready to wade through a slow, clunky game with poor graphics, buy it. If not, avoid it. I hope the game maker releases a better version, because the story was great.

Interesting, but rough around the edges - Just started playing the game last night, so this is not a full review. Plusses so far: — Strong female protagonist — Nice artwork — Decent mystery/thriller atmosphere (think 90’s detective films like SE7EN, Jennifer 8) — Puzzles are a bit too straightforward, but still fun — interface is easy to navigate/grok Negatives: — wonky voice acting. The main character sounds like a Boston thug, and over-emotes constantly. — Script is a bit juvenile. It feels like “adult” dialog scribed by an adolescent (e.g., F-bombs galore). — Near-constant spinner is a bit distracting. — Like above, puzzles might be a bit too straightforward for the experienced adventurer. Overall I’m enjoying it, but it hasn’t compelled me to check out other entries in the series.

Good Plot - Loading tends to lag at points (I especially noticed this issue on the map screen) and there are times when the main character would walk through furniture and get stuck when prompted to walk. However, if you can look past these bugs, then I think the plot is compelling enough to keep you engaged.
