Great clipboard manager - I’ve used quite a few different clipboard managers and most are decent. Cloud Clip does the iCloud synchronization thing extremely well and more transparently than the competitors I’ve experimented with. Turn it on, and it just works across all your macs. I highly recommend this app.

Version 1.2.2
Review by Jeremy Haile

Pretty good but with some flaws - I really really wanted this to be my ideal clipboard manager, but it doesn’t quite hit the mark. First, the bad: 1) when you press Cmd-Shift-V to paste, you can’t use the keyboard to navigate through and pick the clipping to paste 2) keyboard shortcuts (1-9) allow you to paste a specific clip, but there’s no indication in the UI as to which clip corresponds to which number…so you have to count down the list on your own 3) there is no keyboard shortcut for going directly to your starred clips…seriously, am I the only one who uses keyboard shortcuts on a clipboard app? 4) there is no way to search/filter your text clippings. I’d like to be able to just hit cmd-shift-v and then start typing to filter my clippings. Then press up and down to select the search results I want to choose. 5) it doesn’t show image previews if you copy images…instead it shows some gobbledygook code The good: 1) it has a helper app that lets it actually paste directly, working around a stupid app store restriction that many other apps don’t 2) the UI is streamlined and functional 3) it supports pasting rich text 4) it sync to iCloud (although I don’t really use that feature, so can’t comment on it) I wanted to like this app, but the app I use currently already supports nice image previews and better keyboard support. These seem like problems that would be easy to correct. I’m hoping Andrew listens to his users and makes this the perfect clipboard manager!

need update - good app. It will be better if I could copy in background- copy on mac and just paste on ios without the need to get in the ios app and copy again.

Very useful. - Thanks to the developer. It is very useful to have my clipboard synced across devices! Runs in the background. I have it set to open at login, so I never really have to think about it until remembering something I copied that I need to retrieve from clipboard. Then it’s handy to have Cloud Clip. I’ve had it not very long, and found I’ve needed it many times. Very simple to use. I like the interface, too.

Finally - Shared Clipboard - My Mac, iPad & iPhone all contain every “copy” I make on any device. Without me having to launch the app to paste it there. Nice! You can set the upper limit of the number of clips to save. So far so good.

Version 1.2.2

Customer Support is Excllent - This is great software, but it “remembers” if you have clipped something already and it won’t populate the list with a new clipping that you have already clipped. As such, you have to search through your list to find that little thing that you might have clipped last week. You can simply set the clipping limit to 10 clippings, and I will see how that will work - but it would be a great feature to be able to turn off “no duplicate clippings” - such a feature would make this software the reference standard. My rating is 4/5 because of this issue - otherwise works well and otherwise thoughtfully designed. Customer support was very responsive and knowledeable. Thanks Andrew.
