NEST INTERFACE UPDATE: Nest updated their interface for the one that you see in the screenshots. Climate supports resizing of its window so that you can adjust the window to better fit the new interface. I plan on getting an update released soon to fix some other compatibility issues (such as temp in the menu bar and some notifications) that occurred with the Nest update. Thanks for using Climate!
NOTICE: Temps in menu bar and notifications on temp changes is currently not functional. This was broken with the last Nest update. I will work on getting an update out as soon as I can.
Climate provides quick and easy access to manage your Nest® thermostat directly the menu bar on your Mac. You no longer need to walk to your Nest in order to change temperature or settings.
Display your temperature settings directly in the menu bar. This allows you to quickly glance and verify that your thermostat is setup just as you like it.
Receive notifications straight to your desktop when your Nest® temperature has changed, has been set to Away and other important events.
Have you ever been home and wished that you could temporarily stop your Nests from getting set to Away? You can allow Climate to ensure that your Nest never enters away mode for up to 8 hours. Then you never need to worry about unwanted changes in temperature when your Nest thinks you are not home when you actually are.
**Configuring Notifications** I am working on preferences to control the notifications. Until that update, you can tweak how the notifications are displayed inside your Notifications System Preference pane.
**Important** In order to use this application, you will need to own a Nest® thermostat and have access to your online account at home.nest.com.

Notifications ... - For those who complain about the notifications … they can be disabled in the System preferences -> Notifications.
Does not Work! - Installed Climate on my MacBook yesterday. It loaded initially but quit working at all within a few hours. I contacted Climate support and received a snarky reply that it wasn’t their problem, it was NEST. Whatever the case, the app does not work and “Support” doesn’t either. Why spend $5 for an app that simply takes up space on my dock? Terrible support, terrible functionality. DO NOT BUY THIS APP!

Had been a good app - Nest updated their interface and Climate has not been changed. Every time I reboot, I have to resize the window. Additionally, there are some features that just don’t work because of the changes made by Nest. When writing to JoeWorkman, the response I received was poor which could be summarized as: it broked because of Nest so resize the window because we have bigger and better things to work on.
This needs to be updated - This used to work very well. However, when the nest software updated in mid June; the app no longer tells you the status of your thermostat on the menu bar, nor does it notify of any changes of status like it used to. Please update the app.
Are you kidding? - $4.99 for a an app that embeds the Nest website in a browser? Granted, paying $250 for the Nest it shouldn’t be a big deal, but this is a rip off.
Neglected App - Like many other reviews, it’s obvious the developer stopped spending time fixing problems due to some changes to the Nest website. Many of the features we rely on don’t work. After reporting the problems to the developer, it was clear he knew about the problems and wasn’t in much of a hurry to fix them. The last update was in Nov of 2014 and it shows. This is overpriced considering the problems and the lack of devolvement. There are cheaper and free apps that offer the same functions.
june update... - nice skin…but doesnt show temp etc on mac menu bar!!…please fix….
