After lots of complaints on this board, the company finally got it right - It’s really back to the app I’ve come to rely on. Great app! Two things to work on: First, it would be nice if the map didn’t open with a deep dive showing only my house. I’d like to set the level of detail—my general area (SF Bay) would be great. I could zoom in or out from there. Second, now that the premium features have been relegated to the preferences (as they should have been from the start), there’s no explanation of what those features are.
Buyers Beware! Greed broke this app. - For several years already I’ve been using this app to track the weather on my desktop. I was able to see the satellite maps on this app without having to pay anything extra on top of what I originally paid for the app. Well, the update to version 3.0 basically took away the priviledge I had to view the Map to track any rain or storm, and now the greedy people who own this app want me to pay extra for using WHAT I HAD BEEN USING BEFORE. I don’t believe this is fair at all and I’m removing this app from my Mac immediately.

Great App but wish it would follow my location - Love this app as i can see the temperature outside with a quick glance. I live and work in different cities and I currently leave it set to my work city to pull weather data. I would live it though if the app could automatically detect my location and provide weather information where ever i happen to be without having to switch it manually in settings or adding the other city and still having to click on the menu bar.
Buggy - When I first bought this app 5 years ago, it was great. Super stable and had a lot of good information. However, it’s stability has slowly dwindled since then and is now one of the buggiest applications I’ve ever seen in the mac ecosystem. The option to start the app on boot only works about half the time and when you finally do activate this feature, it’s permanent. The only way to get it to stop loading on boot is to completely uninstall it and delete all of it’s folders in both local and global library locations. Also, the UI hasn’t been updated since it’s original release and it seems like the only thing they ever seem to add to the app nowadays is just more microstransaction based schemes, even though I’ve already bought the app multiple times. Seriously, about two years after buying the app, it started asking me to start a subscription if I wanted to see the radar… what? Then there are the little things... No close button on the “about" window so you are forced to completely end the application because even after clicking a link in the window, it seems to initially disappear until you click on the main window for the app, at which point the “about" pane comes back up in the background and can’t be closed. No double click on the top bar to automatically maximize the window. After manually enlarging the main window to my liking, it always opens up back to the default size and can only be manually resized by dragging in the bottom right of the window. etc. While the app technically still works and gives you the info you need, it’s been getting increasingly buggy over time and the tactics of the company that creates this software are extremely questionable. I’d only buy this app if you’re in desperate need and can’t find another app that covers everything you need.
Glad they continue to update - Really good app for showing clouds where I live in Miami, It rains often and I need to be able to see when it will rain. I can find no other Radar map that actually shows clouds good enough like this on the web or as a app.
Pretty - It’s a nice looking weather app. As accurate as most others. It doesn’t give me enough info to warrant 5 stars. No hourly reports, 3 hour. Only one week; no extended forecasts. No record temps or percipitation amounts. I miss Bing weather app. This one is pretty though.
Does not update correctly - This app simply does not function correctly. Looks good but never updates in a timely fashion. Time to give up on it.
