One of the best strategy games of all time - Up until the release of Civilizaton V, Civilization IV was one of the best strategy games on the market. This sequel improves in every way on the sucess of that game, and surpasses it. The visuals are improved, the combat system, city management, diplomacy, you name it, everything just feels more polished easier to use. One of my favorite things about Civilization is also the way that it makes learning about history incredibly fun, and Civilization V is no exception. There is a lot to learn about the different cultures that are represented here, and a lot to learn in the different scenarios that are available in the DLC. In summary, buying this game should be a no brainer, it is a great addition to the series and a great game.

WARNING: Not Worth It - Civilization V is a great game, however it receieves a healthy boost in playability when all the expansion packs are a factor. That being said, do NOT purchase this game on the app store. If everything is purchased from the app store it will cost the player upwards of 77$ and the player will not have the option to connect with players online. If you want a good price and internet play then you should purchase the game anywhere else. Personally I recommend steam seeing as the game in its ENTIRETY will only cost 50$ and will allow players to connect with the internet. Furthermore, the app store version of the game is not steam compatible. To sum things up, Apple is charging you an unfair price for a landlocked version of a game well enjoyed with others.

High Sierra bug fixed! - Thank you for fixing the High Sierra bug!! I admit I was skeptical. It’s nice to see that this company will fix issues with the game even though Civ VI is out, and I’m sure they want money there. I may get Civ VI someday, but for now Civ V is tops for me. Ive been a Civ fan since the first one, and this one (V) is the first to have an A.I. that doesn’t make me totally nuts. Great graphics, great gameplay, great expansions, and an A.I. that doesn’t make you tear your hair out. Make mine Civ V!

High Sierra 10.13.3 renders this game not worth playing - Agree with a previous post. Won’t play until a fix comes along.

Enjoy this game - So I had this game for a couple of years now and I must say that I still enjoy playing it. I think the newer one is lame compared to this so I am going to be buying to expansion packs and stuff!

Patch slowed movement - The new patch to fix High Sierra problems has slowed down the entire game to the point it is no longer fun! Each time i try to move a unit, weather from the first turn or turn 500, the move-to tile indicator lags way behind - Sometimes several seconds. When you have more than a few units it takes forever to complete a turn.
