Chronicle is all about eliminating financial surprises. Here are some of the ways Chronicle saves you time and money (and reduces stress, too):

- Never Forget A Bill
With notifications, and upcoming bills in your menu bar and notification center, Chronicle will always keep you up-to-date.

- Plan For Expenses
Forecast View shows you upcoming bills months in advance.

- Know How Much To Save
Amount-To-Save feature calculates how much you need to save each month for bills that repeat less often, like an annual insurance bill or car registration.

- Eliminate Surprises
Intelligent Estimated Amount Due feature estimates how much is due for bills that vary, like credit cards or utilities, using your payment history and the time of year.

- Remove the Hassle From Paying & Keeping Track of Bills
Pay bills online and log them in seconds using Chronicle's integrated browser, and keep proof of all your payments, including storing receipts.

If you pay bills, you need Chronicle. It gives you peace of mind and control of your financial future. One late payment can wreak havoc on your credit score, leading to higher interest rates and denied loans—in short, completely affecting your financial life. With Chronicle, you can make sure that never happens.

Plus, Chronicle can sync with the available iOS version, so you always have your bills available wherever you go.

MACWORLD gives Chronicle 4.5 out of 5 mice: "Chronicle is one of the slickest finance apps available for the Mac. It’s easy to use and easy on the eyes, and it’s worthy of a spot on anyone’s dock."

You can sync Chronicle data with multiple Macs, iPhone and iPad using iCloud. More details are below:

One of my “Must Have” apps! - I have been a Chronicle user for many years now and Mike just keeps improving on an already indispensable application as evident with this version 8. Every time I upgrade my Mac’s or get a new iPhone or iPad, the first thing I do after the system updates is install Chronicle. You will not find better support anywhere else! Any and all questions or issues are answered promptly and addressed quickly. I even get follow up emails after the fact to make sure all is well. I highly recommend Chronicle not only because of all of the above but because it is for me the best bill paying management application out there. I have not had a late payment since I first intalled it many years ago!

Lose all iCloud backups - Update: Went back to Sierra due to time machine all fine but lost all iCloud backups only for chronicle 8 . Now using Chronicle 7 with a choppy iCloud connection. Update: Manual synch didn’t work , but re-saving all accounts did so my accounts are now synched . This was the recommendation from the website support .I am raising my 3 star to a 4 star now and I will see if it synch’s across on it’s own . I will update as I find new bugs , but for now 4 star is the best I can give . This app is good have had it for a while now . But what kills my rating which most likely would be 5 star is : #1 I have El Capitan on 2009 , and High Sierra on 2014 and iCloud enabled on both and these are not synching . They were synching fine before the 8.0 update . #2 When updating to 8.0 the 7.0 app is not removed and had to do this myself .

Chronicle is simply the best tool for managing your bills - I have to agree with jravin, as a long time user I have come to appreciate Mike’s excellence in customer service, the quality of Chronicle, the faithfulness in keeping it updated, and positive changes based on user input. This is the first paid update in countless additions and improvements Mike has provided at no cost. I am happy to buy this update with the new forcasting and saving features, as well as the base features that attracted me to the app in the first place. Ease of adding bills, automatically interfacing with your calendar, notifications, and menu bar indicator, iphone and ipad integration, it has made managing bills an intuitive and easy process. I highly recommend this App, I am another grateful client who installs Chronicle as one of the first apps that goes on any new or upgraded device. Chronicle solves managing your payment cycles in an easy and dare I say fun fashion, yet it adds more powerful planning functions. If you have ever used a cash/Envelope system to pre-save for annual bills, or even to divide $$$ up from paychecks for Monthly or Quarterly bills, you will love how Chronicle gives you that same planning in an electronic form. It’s amazing that something so well made, that costs so much less than a single late payment fee, will not only save you from future late payment fees, but will help you organize your Bill Management in such an intuitive and helpful way! Buy it! You’ll be glad you did!

Doesn’t do what I thought it did - This is a great app - if I only wanted to see my bills total. I was looking for something that would calculate my bills and my income. I literally bought this less than ten minutes ago - can I please get a refund? This app does not suit my purposes.

Must-have app - Haved used their Mac app since Sept 2010 and their iOS version since Feb 2015. An absolute must have app. Used for typical, actually all, family expenses, bills, paychecks, you name it. Works and syncs perfectly with their iOS app. I love the iCloud sync. This app is simple to use. While somewhat morbid, I sleep a lot better at night knowing everything is documented should something happen and my spouse takes over financials…I love seeing upcoming bills, it really helps me plan. I take advantage of adding notes too when I pay bills, i.e.., why the credit card balance was high/low, etc. Now, if only it could help format and print checks too…I would definitely pay extra for that add-on!

New version of Chronicle doesn’t work for me - I’ve used Chronicle for years. It helped remind me of payments that I would sometimes forget. It was a very handy, five star application. However, this new version 8 is completely hosed. It did not carry over my payments from the earlier version. It indicates my payments are all some 1300 days overdue. Even when I make a new payment and log it, the overdue days remain the same. It has even affected the previous version, so now I have no workable version at all. Customer service asked how I purchased both versions, but hasn’t done anything towards helping me fix the problem.

Great app - I wanted a program that focuses on my bills and nothing else. How much do I need to pay this month, and when do I need to pay them? Something that just gives me a clear reminder and tracks when and how much I have paid in the past. Chronicle has been perfect for that. It’s really easy to use, has a lot of customization options and is pretty to look at. It also does little things that I love, like breaking down bill history by seasons, months, and year. My only complaints are that settings don’t seem to sync with the iOS version, and the default options aren’t quite the same. The iOS version defaults to pay automatic bills automatically, which is not how I have the macOS version set up. So when I first opened it the iOS version it marked bills as paid that I didn’t want marked yet. Other options I have since changed I had to change manually in the iOS version. Not a big deal, but annoying. Also the interface can get a bit wonky. The bill detail window has lots of charts and displays, so I make the window bigger to see them all at once. But then your overview screen gets all these uncessary spaces as it tries to spread everything out to make use of the window size. Again, not a big deal, but annoying. I highly recommed this program. it focuses on one thing, and does it very well.
