A Wonderful Accessible Game - This well-written interactive fiction game can be enjoyed by blind players using the Mac's VoiceOver utility. If you know a blind Mac user, please mention this game, as there are so very few for us. This game reminds me of Ultima IV: Quest of the Avatar, insofar as the player's ethical decisions impact the story. So many games incentivize violence and selfishness, so it's refreshing to play a game that allows the freedom to enjoy being good for a while. The game takes about eight hours to play through each time. The writing is quite good, and and Fendg is one of the most delightful characters ever. The three-dollar price is too low. I feel bad that I didn't pay at least five. Ten would be reasonable, but I'd rather pay five. :) There isn't any documentation to speak of. It would be nice if the game produced a text file when the story ended, so that players would have some record of their game. Also, VoiceOver users have to double-check that their choices have been registered properly in the radio button group. But I haven't enjoyed interactive fiction so much in a long time. This is a game to be proud of, and I look forward to more from Alana.
