What I like and don’t like - I’ve tried so many calendar apps. Fantastical … BusyCal … I haven’t tried because of what I consider to be an unreasonable price. I’m not willing to pay it because I don’t have the need for that kind of power. ICal works but is just bare bones. I had alot of hopes for Sunrise but I’ve read where Micosoft has bought that competition and Sunrise will not set in the west. So I tried this app. I was pleased at how well it brings up Google Calendar with no fuss and no browser. I’m disappointed that I do not receive alerts on appointments. I sent an email to support and they assured me that I should, they will always be here to assist and asked for some information from me. I complied with the request and did not get a response. I see in reviews where I’m not the only one missing alerts. I guess you get what you pay for. If they could fix the alerts issue I’d give it a 5. After a reinstall of this app I now recveive alerts on time. I don’t know what the problem was but the app now works exactly as promised. I now rate it a 5
Money wasted - This application is the exact same as if I log into the google calendar website. No difference in graphics or dispay and no additional functionality. Might as well just keep going to the website.

Does the basics, but Needs Bells and Whistles (literally) - CalendarPro displays the basics that you would see via a browser window. Same white background, and soft colored tiles reflecting your appointments. Although it is compact, and displays what it should, I can get that out of the browser. What I would really love to see out of this App is advanced notification options. I want dings, and whistles, and popups I can configure to notify me in various ways of my various appointments. A good example would be “Use sound ‘chime’ and macbook notification banner when a new invitation arrives". Another is “Use sound ‘alarm’ when Recurring Meeting ‘Weekly Team Meeting’ is about to start”. You get the gist. Lastly, I want skins! Color Options! It’s great to use the Google Calendar defaults, but again, I can get that on the browser. A paid for app should offer some simple color configuration options. Overall, it’s a clean interface using the default menus and “look”. I would love to see some improvements with the notifications and colors, and it will deserve 5 stars.
I like it when it works - When the app doesn’t keep crashing, it’s great, but even after the last update the app still keeps crashing almost every time I open it.
Confused - Love the app almost all of the time… Right now for some reason when I have the app selected it does not appear as “CalendarPro” in the top left hand side of the menu bar, it just stays as whatever app I had been using previously. So now I can’t access any preferences. Even uninstalling and reinstalling didn’t help. Is there a fix for this?
Good for basic calendar app. - Good basic calendar. Works well. If you want more features, I would recommend checking out BusyCal. Expensive but worth it for the features I was looking for. This calendar is nice if you just want the google calendar as an app, but nothing much more than that.
