Scientific is useless - I have a total of 4 scientific calculators, that are always somewhere else. So for some reason I thought it would be easy to download one seeing as how I have one on my phone but so far I've found nothing useful and this is the worst. I can't figure out how to input for a variable. For example, I can't raise e to anything but x. It's not straight forward anyway which there's no reason why it shouldn't be. This looks cool and that's it.

Nice…but ugly - Nice calculator but a terrible design. The layout is distracting to look at. The buttons could be much bigger. There is also a lack of contrast between the buttons and the ugly background. I would like to see it with a better look. Do that and I will change this review.

Mostly does the job - On Windows I usually use the built in calculator in Crimson Editor, with which I could have many expressions. I needed something similar on the Mac. This allows you to see the whole expression & save them for later, but you can't copy expressions or manipulate the middle of an expression. You have to delete everything to the right of the part you want to edit & retype it.

Cool - This app looks and works great!! I wish that there were iPhone, iPod, and iPad versions of this though. That would make it even better!! I love the antique design!! =)

Math is not art! What is it with you Mac people? - Yes, it improves upon the funtionality of the Mac OS bundled calculator, which does have limited functionality. But among the most important missing features on the Mac version is the “clear entry” button. The Mac has alway only had an AC button, which clears the entire input chain. The first physical electronic calculator that I ever owned in 1978 from Texas Instrumensts had both an AC and a CE button. Since the introduction of Windows 1.0 in 1981 there has always been a C and CE button on their bundled calculator. For the love of Pete, if your design objective is improved functionality, how does "clear entry” not top the list of functional improvements. How hard could it be: single-click for clear entry, double-click for clear all. Such a glaring design oversight is worth 3 rating points. After knocking off a point for the distracting asthetics, we end up with the 1 I gave it. The Mac calculator does not need artistic sprucing up.
