Easily create CD or DVD labels printable to a variety of label brands. Forget the felt tip marker, you can have an attractive CD label designed and printed in only a couple of minutes.

Access your iPhoto library to use your own photos as background images. Crop and position any image into the background. Overlay text on the background and change the text size, color, font, etc.

Although CD Labeler was designed to be a very basic application, your ability to use it well depends upon your computer experience. If you know how to use an application like Adobe Photoshop, then using CD Labeler will be like child's play. On the other hand, if you are a novice computer user or new to the Mac, then you really should take a few minutes to read the Help, or you might get frustrated. Even experienced users should look at the Help to be aware of all of the application features.

Probably the most difficult aspect of using CD Labeler is entering in the layout measurements for your label sheets.

The pre-loaded labels are:
•Avery
•Memorex
•CD Stomper
•Neato

If you have a label other than these, just use a ruler to get some measurements, and enter those measurements into CD Labeler. This might take some trial and error. To prevent ruining your label sheets, you might want to test print new layouts on plain paper while you are adjusting the exact measurements.

This was a complete waste of money! - No it does not work with Memorex CD Labels!!!!! Although the example shown for memorex labels is as should be according to the labels, it does not print out like it should. I've wasted ink and labels on this garbage!!!!!!

Obnoxious little text boxes….. - I purchased this app after reading the latest review claiming that all the bugs had been fixed. Wrong! Whenever I add text to a cd label, the text box remains in place instead of disappearing like it should so the text can blend in with the label. These text boxes make the finished product look very unprofessional. Maybe I'm missing something, but I have not found a way to delete the text box itself without eliminating the text as well. I have never seen another professional editor work this way. Please fix this, and this will be a simple, outstanding app.

Simple and easy to use. prints great. Did wha I wanted - I must be asking for too little. This app was perfect for my needs. Yes, it is quite basic, but it noly cost 10 bucks. The high end versions are $35 Printer on Neato labels right out of the box. Very satisfied customer

Very very basic - This app does what it's supposed to do. You can import images for the background. And you can make horizontal labels. But you can't make labels that circle around the label. Also, you can't change the font, size or color within the same text box. So, for example, If I wanted the "To" in "To Laura" to be slightly smaller than her name,(which I did, incidentally) the software won't let you do it. All the values must be identical. To me, these seem to be pretty minimal capabilities for a CD label maker. The free software that came with the labels was much more advanced. Sadly, I lost it. My thought is there's certainly some freeware out there that beats the heck out of this. I bought it because I was in a hurry to make some holiday mixes for a couple friends. If an update beefed up the software, I'd certainly revise my review. At present, I gave it three stars because I was, after all, able to make some labels. They just weren't as zippy as I wanted.
