Accurate and Insanely Detailed
Dark Sky's super accurate weather data gives you access to 24-hour and 7-day forecasts. And there's enough meteorological goodness packed inside to satisfy even the most demanding weather nerd. (Available worldwide.)

Rain/Snow Prediction
If the rain gods are mad at you, CARROT will show you a short-term forecast that tells you right down to the minute when it’s going to start precipitating. (Available only in the US, UK, Ireland, and parts of Canada. Everything else works worldwide.)

Whenever CARROT detects precipitation or a severe weather alert in your area, she'll ping you with a notification. And if you own CARROT Weather for iOS, she can even forward the notification to your mobile device when you're away from your desk! (Note: CARROT Weather for Mac must be running to send notifications to your iOS device.)

Weather Maps
Watch in awe as the next big storm bears down on your house with CARROT's trusty radar (for the U.S.) and satellite (for the rest of the world) maps.

Quick-Access Mini Window
CARROT's Mini Window resides in the menu bar and lets you view the short-term, hourly, and daily forecast with a quick click or keypress. You can even detach the Mini Window from the menu bar and keep it in front of your other apps.

Release Notes:

Greetings, meatbags! Artificial Superintelligence, my iPhone/iPad game about building the world’s first sentient supercomputer, releases today - and to celebrate I’ve prepared a nice little update for you!

- Added severe weather alerts for Canadian users. I’ll be sending a moosenado to Vancouver tonight to test the system.
- Fixed a bug that sometimes placed your current location at the bottom of the North Atlantic Ocean. (No reason to be concerned, that was just the site of your future watery grave.)
- Fixed a bug that was causing the sun and clouds to disappear for users running macOS 10.12.4.
- New summer-related dialogue, in case you forgot swimsuit season is nearly upon us.
- Many more bug fixes and performance improvements.

Now go forth and download Artificial Superintelligence, my minions! It’s a choosable-path adventure where you handle bizarre requests from Silicon Valley residents while training me to become millions of times smarter than every human who ever lived, combined.

Carrot Weather - Just purchased. Initial impression is this app is very clever. Weather info is similar to Dark Sky with rain for the hour prediction. Hope the developers continue to develop this app with more humorous quips. That makes this app unique and prevents from becoming “old” and irritating.

Very much regret purchasing - After playing around with this app for a couple days, I don’t get the hype. Forecast Bar (another Mac weather app) is much better, and not to mention cheaper. One of the reviewers below says they left Forecast Bar because it asked for a subscription. What are they talking about? It comes with the same hourly updates for free, and gives the OPTION of paying for faster updates (but even so, a one time payment, not a subscription). Avoid this app and get Forecast Bar instead. It has the exact same weather source, a much better layout, more favorable reviews, way more features and it’s even cheaper. This app is a great example of how marketing can be more important than quality, and as buyers, you shouldn’t let that happen.

I wanted to like it. - I was looking for the equivalent to Dark Sky for iOS for my Mac, and it was between Carrot Weather and Forecast Bar. I went with Carrot because it was a one time purchase rather than a subscription. Yes, the colors and graphics and interface are beautiful, but here’s my gripe: It’s actually kind of difficult to figure out the hourly short term forecast. You have to hover your mouse along a line and read the temperatures and other statistics that pop up in a box as you move your mouse along. It’s not clear at all. This app is more novelty then anything and I would avoid it!

Great fun app needs volume control, please. - Since the verbal reporting comes through so LOUD, I have to turn my iMac’s volume down or it blasts me out of my chair, freaks-out my coworkers, etc. But, when I turn my iMac’s volume down (to bring CARROT Weather’s ‘voice’ down, I can’t hear my Mac's notification sounds! Even with iTunes volume control—along with my external speakers' volume control— I still can’t find a comfortable volume level for CARROT Weather too °_* (this app really needs a volume control… —please).

Very Disappointing - I bought the IOS version, the Mac OS version and the IOS yearly subscription for this app. I have free weather apps that are easier to use and have just as much, if not more, data in them which, I might add, is easier in the other apps to get to and actually see. If I could figure out how in the world to get a refund from the IOS and Mac Appp stores, I would already be done with this wasted purchase. I have removed it from my devices.

Out of date... - Ever since Carrot updated their iOS app, the MacOs app seems quite lacking. I wish they’d follow through and bring the features from iOS to the MacOS Platform. Until they’re all utilizing the same features, I’ll be slightly disappointed in the MacOs feature. The biggest thing is that I wish I could use the WeatherUnderground source for the MacOS Platform.
