The first episode of Gearbox Software’s critically acclaimed WWII tactical shooter sees you stepping into the boots of Sgt. Matt Baker, and being dropped behind enemy lines. It’s shortly after midnight on June 6th 1944 – D-Day, you’re surrounded by the enemy, and it’s up to you to lead the 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division through occupied territory… to victory.

So what will you do next? The game puts you complete control of your squad, and you’ll need to use tactics more often than force when engaging in combat. Gritty, authentic and innovative, Brothers in Arms Road to Hill 30 offers the visceral, emotionally charged experience of infantry combat in the Normandy invasion; the battle that changed history.

• True story – Fight Airborne Infantry battles based on the actual events of D-Day and beyond.

• Unprecedented authenticity – Historically accurate battlefields, events, and equipment are all recreated from Army Signal Corps photos, aerial reconnaissance Imagery and eyewitness accounts.

• Online multiplayer – Go online and attack or defend in team-based multiplayer.

• Real military tactics – Issue orders to Find, Fix, Flank, and Finish your enemies like a WWII squad leader.

• Accessible command and control – Players of all skill levels can make the most of any situation, thanks to an innovative control system.

Great Game - Don't let the two above make you think you can not download it! It is a 3.29GB game. IT TAKES AWHILE TO DOWNLOAD:) But once it is downloaded, GREAT GAME and for the price!

Can - I have downloaded the game on both MacBook Air and 27" iMac, and I can't start it on both of the machines. I press play, and it ends with an error. And there is nothing in the 'help' about this issue.

Very good, but it came out in 2004 - This game and its immediate sequel are fun, but something to keep in mind is that this game was originally released in mid-2004. One of the platforms it was written for was the original XBox. You should adjust your expectations of production quality accordingly. The porting job done by Feral Interactive is very well done. The Brothers in Arms games are probably the most realistic portrayal of WWII infantry combat in an FPS. Its combination of action and strategy is unique, and people tend to either really like it or really don't. I happen to like it quite a bit.

Very Good Game - I'm only a beginner when it comes to gaming, so on a level of operability it took me some time to figure out how to work all the actions of the players on the computer. The game downloaded slow, but it did download and play correctly. Thr graphics are good, but not the best that I have seen. So far so good wit hthe first couple of missions I have played.

AMAZINGLY Realistic Game - I very much enjoy this game. I'm an old fan of Medal of Honor and Close Combat (yeah, remember THAT one?) and have been looking for something that was playable on the Mountain Lion OS. It IS very challenging once you get past the intro. level, but it also makes it much more realistic in terms of emulating real combat. No more looking for "life" sources to keep going, just learning to play smarter and think tactically. HIGHLY RECOMMEND -- ESP. FOR THE PRICE! * (p.s.: Running on OS 10.8.2 on my (summer 2009) MacBook Pro with no issues.)

Download Problems - I have a brand New Apple Air. I cannot download the game. The download bar is stuck at about Half Way. Don't bother to buy until they implement a fix.
