Based on your actual keyboard and mouse use and the time you have spent in front of the screen, BreakZ suggests rest and microbreaks at appropriate intervals. BreakZ includes a set of 30 fully illustrated stretching exercises that are designed to reduce muscular tension, improve posture and strengthen appropriate muscle groups. It also features dozens of great ergonomic tips.

BreakZ adapts to how and where you work. A sophisticated setup assistant makes sure that you start off with a configuration that suits you and your workplace. An extensive array of preferences allow you to customize everything from how activity is measured to the way information is presented on the screen.

BreakZ isn't rude and just interrupts you in the middle of something important. Through its innovative interface using transparency and sound, it keeps you informed without stealing your focus and gives you plenty of warning before a break is due and even then respectfully waits until you have stopped working.

Definitely Works For Me - I used this and anitRSI. I really like this one alot. I get very focused and forget to take breaks. I am constantly a victim to back shoulder and neck muscle spasms. I like this program b/c the picture pop ups show you what to do during your breaks - these include a lot of stretches that I have never seen before which are very easy to do in an office setting. I am impressed with the sophistication of the program. I am told to take breaks when I am engaging in potentially harmful activity. This is typically typing very fast for a very long period of time. When the warning comes on and instructs me to take a break - I actually do notice that my wrists are sore and my shoulders are tightening up … BRAVO … well done - I am very impressed. I also really like the level of sophistication in the settings control. I have not yet tried all of the stretches in the full version. I am hoping they will have stretches that are beneficial to lower back, hips and legs. I get stiff in these areas too from sitting too long. I am also hoping to figure a way to separately control the volume level of the warning beeps. I find they are a bit too loud relative to the other computer noises and sound volume … but that is not a big complaint - just when I have my headphones on. I think this is a really great product and look forward to any upgrades such as actual videos - and helpful tips and suggestions on how to optimize the settings for different needs. Extremely well worth a $25 investment in comparison to the amounts I have been spending for massage, PT and chiro.
