Description:

Have an appetite for words? Then join Lex the Bookworm in the hit word-puzzle game created by PopCap, makers of the best casual games this side of Jupiter! Link letter tiles left, right, up and down to build words to keep Lex sated and smiling. The bigger the word, the better the bonus. But watch out for burning letters — they could spell disaster for you and Lex!

If you need a quick word break, link letters fast in Action mode. If laid-back wordplay is more your style, go with Classic. No matter which mode you like best, you’ll relax and tune up your brain every time you play!

Bookworm will not open - After downloading Bookworm, I clicked on the icon, the game opened for a spit second than stopped. Tried several times with no luck. I'm running a Mac with OS 10.6.8. What now?

Love it! - I love this game. I have it on my iphone and had it before on my Nokia smartphone. I'm so glad it's now available for the Mac. I haven't been able to find it anywhere until I checked the App store today.

Mac and Ipad not the same - I’ve been playing this game since it was “BeSpelled.” Great fun and great waste of time. The only issue I have with it now is that the dictionaries in the Mac version and the IPad/IPhone versions are not the same, particularly with some of the handy three letter words. E.g., Mac takes “zed” IPad doesn’t. Also, Mac doesn’t have the word category books and word history that are part of the IPad game. Both are good, but slightly different.
