Additional Biblical Resources - The Bible Gateway app is an excellent quick resource to refer to when a fast Biblical answer is needed while you study. You can find specific scriptures, Biblical time periods, stories, definitions and more in a hurry. This is a valuable resource to have when you're in any type of Bible or Theology school.
Needs internet connection - First, this is a great concept but this app is not upfront regarding its requirement for internet connectivity. Bible Gateway is a solid choice, but this app, while seamlessly tied to Bible Gateway, is not. For my needs, I needed off line capability with several Bible translations. If you are looking for an “off-line” Bible program than this app is not for you. It is not from Bible Gateway. V/r Cross745

Bible for Gateway - Excellent product … and very easy to use.
Excellent tool on any phone or device - I depend on this tool a great deal on my phone and iPad. It’s essential for me to have the flexibility and diverse elements this app has. I use it to make notes during service or during my personal study time. I love the fact that notes and highlights transfer over to my other devices. The ability to read parallel versions is extremely helpful in my study time. I cannot say enough how invaluable this really is.
Wonderful for My Mac - I have have the app on my iPhone and my iPad but now I have it on my Mac. This enables me to have my Bible Studies and the app both on the same device. I can go back and forth and don’t have to have several different devices. It is still wonderful to have it on my iphone so it is with my where ever I go, but for studing and Bidle Studies I think it is the greatest to have it on my Mac.
Long time user. - I have had BibleGateway on my iPad for years. Not only does it have nearly all of the Bible versions available but they are simple to use. Pick your version, click ‘books’ then it shows chapters then verses. I’m always coming to BibleGateway when I have a partial phrase of Scripture in my head and don’t know where it is from. Enter the phrase and if you are close, it will match what you are looking for. Looking for a particular word? Be careful as you will have them all available by verses from Genesis to Revelation. You can limit your searches to either Old Testament or New Testament. In addition BibleGateway offers some of the most popular devotionals available. Off the top of my head I know they offer Morning and Evening by Charles Spurgeon. I used that devotional in a hard copy one year and it is marked up and was very helpful. We have moved away from Windows 10 and now have a new iMac, OSX El Capitan. Today I wanted to print out an entry to paste in my working Bible. I realized that I did not have a Bible on our new Mac. I started looking for an app that would work. I came across a review for BibleGateway’s new app for Mac that talked about how helpful and complete it was. So I looked at it and saw it was the same as I had on my iPad and brought it. Glad to have it on board. - j.
Great app - Great app to lookup passages and compare different versions. I’ve been using the iphone version for years while in church, now I have it on my Mac at home too. Wish there was a cheaper way to go ad-free.
