SImply the best one out there - As a pastor, many people in my church have many different translations. I find it hard to follow with my favorite one sometime, so all I do is make 2 clicks and I have the one they are reading in front of me. I am also able to compare them as i prepare a sermon. I get only the ones I need and want. The other aids within this app are first rate as well! I have logos, but I find myself more and more going te Olive tree first before my overly expensive program that has all the bells and whistles I do not need or ever use. The inspirational books available are also outstanding in their selection and usefulness. I received a new touch pad for Christmas and my first concern was whether I could still have my Olive tree. I can and I installed it on that the very first thing. If anyone is considering this app; you will not be disappointed. Build your research library with the things you will need and use instead of getting a program that costs tons of money. That expensive program has way too many things you will pay for and never use. I use it all on this one!

SEARCH BUG! - After the latest update 5.4.2 the SEARCH BUG still exist! Try this yourself type 4 or more words (any words) on SEARCH bar you’ll see what happens next. The developer acknowledged that the bug exist since last year I reported it to them, couple updates later still exist!

Was once great, now extremely buggy. - Once upon a time, this app was fast, efficient, and a delight to use. It was the best Bible app out there. However, ever since the developers decided it needed a major cosmetic overhaul, it has been slow and buggy. Searches are much slower than before. Before, if you did a search for a Bible word, it would simply and promptly show you all the times the word is found in the Bible. Now, it also wants to search every book in your library for every occurance of that word, and if you have purchased many resources, that search takes a lot longer. And, worst of all, especially lately, whenever I want to look up a definition for a word, I often get the colored beach ball, then the program crashes. I depend on this program, and yesterday it must have crashed 10 times. I rate this program 3 stars (it once deserved 5) until this nonsense is fixed.

The times are changing. - Remember when you delayed purchasing a smart phone? When you weren’t sure what others saw in text messaging? Well, it is time to recognize that an electronic Bible is here to stay. Granted, I’ll never give up my “hard copy” Bible, just in case, but my Bible devotionals have become deeper, more complete, and definately more satisfying by use of Olivetree’s Bible software. Use of the Bible with embedded Strong’s word study, use of commentaries, and, most importantly, syncing the study to Olivetree so my saved notes, highlights and annotations cross over to my computer, my laptop, my iPad, and my iPhone makes taking the Bible and my notes so much more satisfying. This has greatly changed my relationship with the Lord and I hope I can influence anyone who reads this to begin using the system.

Thanks but, Help Us Olive Tree - I have used Olive Tree products for yours and would recommend them. However, I am finding simple little functions not there for professional use. Cut and past for example: On the iPad you can clip a few verses on the computer you cannot. scrooling down and highlighting with a touch pad is a hassel. I would also like to change how pasting a verse gets its format pasted. How hard would it be to use Strong numbers highlight the Hebrew word and find all the times that word has been used and their context? I would love to see the verse look up interface fiddled with as it takes so long to jump 15 chapters ahead without scrolling. I love that I can buy one version and have it on all my devices. Thank you for all the hard work you have done to help make this program great. Blessings

The desktop app needs work. - Let me start by saying the iPhone and iPad apps are spectacular - the industry benchmark, imo, for Bible software. The desktop app is hopefully a shadow of things to come, because it’s sadly lacking in useability and intuitive interfacing. One of the most basic functions, (copy and paste) is clumsey and problematic … even the Online Bible (which is nearly 25 years old) is easier to work with. With most apps, the iPhone version is the compromised one. With Olive Tree, it’s the opposite, by quite a margin. Update 7/12 - nothing much has changed in a year. Olive Tree does not prioritize the development of their desktop app.

Good Bible App But Needs Study Notes and Maps - I have owned this bible app for several years now and I can confidently say it is one of the best apps out there. However, when I first bought this app it included some maps as well as study notes. It no longer includes those very helpful items that brings a deeper understanding of the word. It seems that the resources that were free before now cost money. I understand the necessity of charging people for a product that is completely new but to force people to buy additional products (Maps, Study Bibles, Commentaries, etc.) to supplement bibles that should come with those items in the first place is unnecessary. If it included those items in the app it would easily be the best bible app available. God bless and keep up the great work.
