Version 5.4.1.0
Review by Nazpastor

SImply the best one out there - As a pastor, many people in my church have many different translations. I find it hard to follow with my favorite one sometime, so all I do is make 2 clicks and I have the one they are reading in front of me. I am also able to compare them as i prepare a sermon. I get only the ones I need and want. The other aids within this app are first rate as well! I have logos, but I find myself more and more going te Olive tree first before my overly expensive program that has all the bells and whistles I do not need or ever use. The inspirational books available are also outstanding in their selection and usefulness. I received a new touch pad for Christmas and my first concern was whether I could still have my Olive tree. I can and I installed it on that the very first thing. If anyone is considering this app; you will not be disappointed. Build your research library with the things you will need and use instead of getting a program that costs tons of money. That expensive program has way too many things you will pay for and never use. I use it all on this one!

Version 6.0.13
Review by RichardJamesB

LOVE IT! - I’m a Catholic priest, and I love this Bible app. I use it across my devices - laptop, iPad, and iPhone - so it’s always available to me. I appreciate its extensive library - it’s amazing how many Bible programs do not offer access to Catholic Bibles, as though only Protestants read the Bible! This app gives access to multiple Bibles in multiple languages. I use English, Spanish, and Greek on a regular basis. I love that I can have different languages in split windows, so that I can compare them side-by-side. It’s amazing how much comes through when you read the Bible in different languages! I also appreciate the study resources that can be synced with the Bible, so that I can view commentary and notes, right alongside the biblical text. I use the app when I’m teaching Bible study at church - highlighting text I want to discuss, adding my own notes that I can call up as I need them, and supplementing my teachings with the commentary, study notes, and maps provided by the app. It’s truly amazing!

Version 6.0.13
Review by bdotson1

Good but needs a refresh - Its been nearly 18 months and no update for the MAC/PC version? Love the app its just that the improvements seem to be a bit slow in coming at present. The ios version is stellar these days - the Mac version is good but could use a bit of a refresh maybe. UPDATE - Still no real change in the MAC version to date. In particular, when I change verses, the resource window is slow to respond. Also, if I search for a word or phrase, there should be a way to move that search to the main window but instead I have to retype the reference in on the main window. The non iOS version just isnt as elegant and smooth to use as its mobile counterpart. I use my MacBook and my iPads evenly so theres a clear distinction on UI, ease of use between them. Love the iOS version and tolerate the MAC version at the moment. Hoping for a refresh soon.

On searching and note-taking - As a whole, I think the application is great. Of course, I think anyone can find something they’d tweak, so here are some of mine: Search function can be improved. I can search in specific fields predetermined by the application: Entire Bible, O.T., N.T., Revelation, Gospels, etc. Revelation and Psalms are the only specific books I can search, so I can’t search 1 Kings for something, for example, though I can limit my search to “History” and check the results in 1 Kings. I like that I can check any book in my library for the results, and I can see how many results in each source of my library. Notes. Notes have to be attatched to a specific place in the bible, a verse, a word, a passage. I would like the ability to create a note independent of a particular passage in the bible.
