A Bible App to replace your old fashioned book Bible. - I have been using Bible Glo for about 18 months and I swear I won't go back to a big book version. When navigating within the app it is so easy to set up Chapter and Verse pages within the program so you can quickly switch during your Church message. I use highlighting and notes extensively and love the way I can have them synchronize with my old You Version Bible App and no matter where I am I have my notes, highlights and thoughts. I alsio really love the media that is included. I never tire of seeing the old Masters Paintings and photographs of the places in Israel where the events happened and then to see the Lord's Supper and Sistine Chapel in incredible detail. The Sistine Chapel is amazing with how you click on a panel and you get a beautiful close-up as well as detailed description of the panels . The Bible and multimedia of the App is just flawless with one exception. I would really like to access more colors for highlighting and underline words or phrases. If this was available I would be totally happy with no functional issues. The only real flaw with the app is the name. I mean where does Glo really come up and why did Zondervan chose to name it such. There have to be hundreds of better choices out there and would anticipate better sales for them if they rebranded. Well I hope you will check out Glo, you will not be disappointed, I love it

DOES NOT WORK - I downloaded this app to sync up with my iOS versions. All of the apps crash a lot. This one says it works on 10.6 or later. However, every time I’ve tried to open it, it just crashes. I have contacted support several times. Their only response to me was that it does not currently support Yosemite. You would think that Apple would make them put that in their listing since it says 10.6 OR LATER. I wanted so badly for this to work. It looks nice, but in its present form, USELESS to me. It makes me sad. I only wish I could return all of the apps and spend my $30 on study Bibles that work. The other Bible apps don’t offer as many media features, but what they do offer actually works.

Won’t open a window or quit. - I installed this app recently and I opened it and it seemed to be working fine, however when I wanted to quit the app it never quit. The window just closed, but it did not quit. I tried to uninstall it but I can’t because there is no uninstall option. I can’t even restart my laptop because it will not quit. I can’t even force quit the app. I can’t even open a new window. The app is just running.

Digital Word of God - Since whatever version of the Bible you use was translated by men, Bible Glo opens the world of instantly comparing other versions to assist in gleaning a more accurate translation. Each of these translations has been in an effort for accuracy and clarity; however, some were done from different points of view about what has now become their “doctrine,” by decree. God did not deliberately obfuscate in the orginal texts done in Hebrew and Greek; that unfortunately was the doing of sincere, but fallible men and women over the centuries. Only those of us who believe that their religion or translation is perfect would have pause to consider Bible Glo. For me it is a refreshing breath of fresh air and new light with which I can more fully understand my God, my Savior and my Spirit.

Great Potential but . . . - I’ve been using this app for over a year now and though it has a lot of features, the problems are a concern. First, the app crashes or locks up frequently.(stability) This happened with the lastest version of OS, and now obviously with Yosemite. It can also be a challenge to navigate back and forth between features which can be frustrating. I love being able to add notes to passages which is very beneficial during Bible Study and Sermon preparation. However, it is rare that I am able to use the app without issue. I would rate it 4 on capabilities, but only 3 on reliability.

Five Star BUT Don’t Purchase if you run YOSEMITE - I have used this app for a few years and echo the sentiments that it is the perfect Bible app in so many ways. In fact, I liked it so much that I asked my wife for the premium version for Christmas. I am excited to use it on a Mac but haven’t yet as it keeps crashing. Even the free app has become completely unusable with the upgrade. It has crashed thee times and did the data dump as I am writing this review. It works great on my iPad, but on a Mac it’s useless. I did due diligence and captured the crash reports and contacted tech support. I was told that the app is not supported on Yosemite. Ridiculous. Then SAY THAT somewhere… I replied and asked for a refund to which I am awaiting a response several days later. I have a great appreciation for this app but not being compatible with current operating systems is a huge oversight.
