Description:

Better Link Tester Express (BLT Express) is a Macintosh OS X based Website link testing application. A link checking application is used to make sure that every link on your site actually points somewhere and doesn't show the dreaded 404 error. It is a great way to make sure that your site give your customers the best experience, so that they will want to come back again and again.
BLT Express is a great tool that will make the quality checking process easy and painless. You just point it at the URL on your site that you want to test, whether it is the first URL or one deep within your site it doesn't matter, BLT Express can check them all.

Crashes - It crashes. What else can I say. Not worth 10$, looking into other options.

It has promise - The core functionality in the application does what it says. The interface tabs are a good idea for breaking down the flat view in this application, but the implementation of the code behind the tabs is causing the application to freeze up. If you just stay on the first tab and have a small site, you may never notice it. My site had about 30,000 links and it made it through the whole site and found 11 broken links. It is worth the price to have found those. Another version or two should resolve these minor issues from a coding standpoint and major issues from a user standpoint.

works pretty well and helped me a lot - I really like the way this is laid out and it is pretty fast at drilling through my sites. I needed a mac os tool to do exactly what this sofware does. And it does it well. Another reviewer mentioned that It seems to have some memory issues when parsing large sites. I found that to be true too. However, that does not stop me from using this. I've tried at least 8 other similar tools and this one is the best i've found so far. If it didn't have the locking up issue, i would never look for another one. If the developers could fix that issue, this would get 5 stars from me. If the devs are reading this. If I have scanned a big site (say 5000 products in a retail site which means about 8000 pages plus), then If I switch between the appilcation tabs too fast, it can have problems. Since they filter the results, it seems like the searching/filtering algorithm might need some tweaking.

Great potential, export doesn't work - It's a nice application, but the export functionality isn't working, which is sort of a deal-breaker. HTML and CSV export look like they're functioning normally, but then they never actually output a file. I'll be thrilled to update my review if they can fix this. Other than that, it works fine, is quick, and reasonably intuitive.

Not impressed - Purchased it this morning for the sale price of .99¢. It crashed the one and only time I tried to use it. Oh, well, I thought at that price it was worth a try. Evidently not.

Still Looking - This app is slow and freezes a lot for me. Still looking for a good Mac-based link checker.
