Images are substantially larger than command line base64 - I noticed that the command line’s images are smaller than what is generated here so I created my own applescript to automatically run the command line on my images.

It - The biggest caveat I have with this software is that the code it creates is far larger than the code I get from other services. Besides, your Mac already does this out-of-the-box! Search the web for a Mac Base64 encoding service, which will allow you to install an Automator action to right click a file and copy its Base64 code to your clipboard. Well, at least I supported the developer for trying!

Be Weary If On A Retina MacBook - This is a fantastic application - by all means a 5 star utility. BUT, be warned that it does not properly work on retina MacBooks. On these machines it expands the images without expanding the image size, effectively making the tool unusable.
