Poor - The mouse gets stuck within the game and it's almost impossible to quit. Sometimes mouse clicks aren't even recognized. Game uses keyboard for movement, which is nice if your kids know how to use a keyboard, but they're much better moving the mouse.

Does not work - As another reviewer mentioned, the mouse gets stuck on the playing screen. Also, there are no instructions to tell how to get to the menu screen from the title screen. I happened to hit the space bar and a menu popped up. I didn't realize you needed to use the keyboard to play the game. Maybe I would have gotten past the menu. Not worth the $0.99.

Good Game, Bad Glitches - The concept is pretty great! I remember playing this game on the internet all the time as a kid and I'm glad there's been a remake on the mac app store. Unfortunately, there are a large amount of glitches. (And when I criticize this app I don't mean it in a bad way, because this game is definitely amazing. I'd just like a lot of things taken into consideration for a possible update. And I'm sure you already know about some of these glitches.) For example: -Fish are sometimes slightly transparent for no reason and change colors -Your screen bounds checking for fish movement are wrong. Make your fish really large and try to go down to the bottom of the screen. It doesn't work. -The fish randomly switch from behind, to in front of other fish -The wraparound from the sides of screen screen isn't a smooth animation (it's really really bad especially as a much larger fish) (Try making it so for example your head starts to appear on one side completely after your tails goes through the other) -Detection for if you eat a fish should only be done around the head, otherwish your tail can "eat" the fish -The bounce when you hit the top or bottom of the screen at a high velocity is pretty annoying (yeah it's not a glitch, but it would be better if it weren't there) The graphics in the game are definitely very pretty! (Except on certain screens, and on the color frenzy mode). But when making graphics for a game you should maintain a constant graphical style throughout. Your game theme should stay consistent throughout all graphical elements of the game. On the menu screen, for example, basically every single button has a different graphical style. But besides the style/theme issues on the menus, the in-game graphics are very nice! The fish animations/graphics are consistent and go with the theme very well. Besides all the glitches and issues, the game happens to be very addictive! If you fix the above mentioned issues, this could definitely be a top seller app, and I would definitely give it 5 stars! (And on a side note, rendering the game in OpenGL is probably going to make life a lot easier. I did a few trials myself, and found that rendering the fish as point sprites is definitely really easy and simple.)
