Audiobook Builder makes it easy to turn your audio CDs and files into audiobooks for your iPhone, iPod or iPad. Join audio, create enhanced chapter stops, adjust quality settings and let Audiobook Builder handle the rest. When it finishes you get one or a few audiobook tracks in iTunes instead of hundreds or even thousands of music tracks!
• Resolves a potential situation where CDs may not be ejected after importing
• Uses far less memory when adding from iTunes so more tracks can be added at the same time
• New application and document icons for better compatibility with macOS 10.12 Sierra
• Minor user interface fixes and enhancements

A Superior and powerful program. - I toiled at converting my audiobooks on my windows pc for days before finding this app through a recommendation on a blog. The app is so easy to use, I was suspicious of its’ ability to do what I needed it to do. The interface is clean, powerful, and well laid out. Just enter some book information, a book cover image, and import the ripped audio book .m4a/.mp3 files. From there you can organize the files into their respective chapters, set separate chapter art and then output the file into an iTunes format (.m4b) audiobook. I was able to take 170+ files of one of my books and make an audiobook that was 1/3 the size while retaining the audio quality I desired in less time then it took me to find the app in the first place. I couldn’t be more impressed.
Doesn’t work anymore! - I’ve used this app for awhile (since 5/15) and it used to work great—maybe a little slow, but good enough for me. Or at least it was until IT STOPPED WORKING recently. Every time i try to open it now I get an an error message telling me that it’s “quit unexpectedly” and I have no idea why. Possibly, this has to do with an update but i already updated everything and it’s still happening. The “support” for this app is a joke (i clicked on it and was taken to a website where they direct you to an unhelpful FAQ page and an outdated forum that nobody visits).

Solid Audiobook building app - This is a great little audiobook application that makes it the process of making chapterized .m4b files simple and streamlined. It works well with little to no learning curve. Worth the money. Update to the developers: thanks for listening and implementing my ideas! Yay for modern iTunes icons and new screenshots of Audiobook Builder in the Mac App Store. As always, a fantastic product.
A good way to convert CDs and MP3s to audiobooks - While the interface is a little dated looking, overall this app is a good solution for converting audio files and CDs to audiobook format. It’s quite reliable, and the one time I had an issue, I received a response and a solution from support pretty quickly.
The best - This is a great way to get audio books from your CDs into AudioBooks. I’ve been using this program for years and it is easy to use, stable and works great. I love that I’ve been able to bring my collection of books and tapes over to play on my iPhone! So easy even the wife uses it and she is so non-techy I have to reminder her how to chnage fonts in Pages every time she uses it. Get it and preserve your collection, while you can.
A must have for audiobook listeners. - I have been using this app since 2012 and have been converting mp3s to the itunes audiobook format m4b for years before using many different programs. This one is one of the best for it’s simplicity and reliability. Whether you download your audiobooks via the web, or rip them from a CD, this app is a MUST HAVE for a reliable conversion to the m4b format.
Simply the best way to convert Audiobook CD's to audiobook files - This is such a great app. Very easy to use pop in the CD's for your favorite audiobook, one at a time. The program will compile them all, with chapter suppoort and create an audiobook file you can use in itunes or on your iphone. The main difference between using this program vs using something like itunes is that audiobook builder will create a single audiobook file, whereas itunes would 'rip' your CD's into a bunch of files (one file per "Track" on the each CD. The reason this is important is, if you play part of an audiobook, then stop and do something else, when you come back your mac/phone will remember where in the audiobook you were. If you try to do this with music files, itunes just starts over at the beginning of the file. This is a great tool at an affordable price, and it's great to see the developer has maintained it through the years. A++ Highly recommended !
