It fits my needs - thats all :-)
All I want is to launch Apps as fast as possible. Period.

And hopefully it will fit your needs, too…

Is there a way for it to learn? - Its very fast, does what it's supposed to do, however there is one really big hangup for me. the way it searches for apps is simply "does an app's name conatain that string of characters" and then it sorts them alphabetically. For example, If I type "sa, at that point I get 4 options in this (alphabetical) order: "AutoSAver" "MesSAges" "SyncserviceSAgent" "SAfari" If I want to launch "mailplane" and type "ma" I get 10 options, with mailplane at the bottom. so far down its not even showing on the list, at that point i can either scroll down, or mouse to it, or of course i could continue typing "mai" then i just get the two options of mail and mail plane. May not seem a big deal, however i used to use Namely (which was as bare bones a launcher as you can get, just hasn't been updated in like 5 years) and it learned your patterns. For me to launch mailplane I would hotkey, type "m" and hit enter. that was it, I knew it would come up cause it was the most frequently used "m" application. The point of an application launcher is to save just seconds each time you want to launch an app. If I need to type out essentially the whole application's name to get to it without scrolling through (or mousing over) a list, it has essentially defeated it's purpose. I know this app was developed and billed as fitting the developer's needs, and so I am being picky saying it doesn't completely fill mine. Anyhow, its a good app, very fast. if it could learn how to order applications based on frequency of use (and also bonus if you could have a list in the preferences where you could put in permanently "always on top in this order" applications, so that if there was, say, one day when you needed to launch "app zapper" a hundred times, but usually you don't use it all that often, that 100 times use wouldn't cause it to displace "app store" at the top (if you wanted app store there and put it in your "always on top in this order" list).

Great app - I like this app it is pretty good it can search safari bookmarks so it can kinda do internet stuff. AppLauncher finds fast and opens things right up the only problem is after using it the window hides in the background and sice there is no icon in the tray or dock I have to go to activity minitor end the process adn then restart the app when I want to use it again. I am not the brightest bulb in the pack so maybe I am missing something. It does work good other than that, fast and small. Ok it was me. When the app first starts up it brings up options where you have to click in the box and type a hot key combination to open the window when it is hidden. I am now raising the rating from three to 5.
