Inverse Tower Defense and a Lot of Fun! - I don't understand why someone would spend money on something without knowing what it is or if they can run it— $10 is a really good price, but $10 is still $10. Do yourself a favor and click the 'More...' link at least if you don't want to visit 11 bit Studio's website and watch the explanatory videos. I can best describe the game as an inverse tower defense game. You're guiding your forces through streets where alien gun turrets are set up to ambush you and your units. Your avatar cannot attack. You set up the path for your units to take, which, depending on the situation, may have to be changed at a moment's notice, and proactively collect defense drops which allow you to repair your units and set up smoke screens. On-the-fly you can purchase, sell, reposition and upgrade units- the interface to do so is a lot easier to utilize than I initially thought it would be. The graphics are really good– no, REALLY good. After a few levels of this game I was left looking forward to playing a lot more of this game! MacPro 4,1 (Early 2009) 2.66GHz Quad Core/4GB RAM/OS X 10.6.7/Radeon HD 5870 Please do your homework, make sure you can run it and have fun! I look forward to some more cool stuff from that studio! Peace!
Meh - The graphics are impressive, the voice acting is cheesy but tolerable, and even though there's a slow learning curve before you can truly utilize a wider array of tools, it's a pretty fun game. That being said, it really seems like all the problems are repetetive, and there's really only a couple of viable solutions, so it often feels like you're basically on a set of train tracks with no real options to solve problems your own way with your own style. In addition the way the controls work make me think that this game would really benefit from being ported onto the iPad. The size of the game, the bird's-eye layout, all would be better served with a touch-screen interface on a portable system.

The Mac version blows chunks, but I recommand the iPad version if you have an iPad. - Graphics are great, concept is great, game play is moronic. Unlike their game for the iPad you can't scroll around the field. You are always centered on the "commander' who walks around. Let's ignore the fact that for some reason the commander of an armored vehicle unit is walking and is able to move twice as fast as the vehicles. To repair the vehicles the commander has to walk near it and then use a healing module. To pick up the healing modules dropped by aircraft he needs to move to where they were dropped. That often results in not being able to see your vehicles or what's happening to them anymore. To stay close to the vehicles you have to constant click where you want the commander to go but since you can't effectively scroll every far away that means you're clicking a lot. In the iPad version there is not stupid commander, you can scroll around the field, you just tap on what you want to pickup and to use something like the healing module you select it and just tap where you want it deployed. It's way better. I didn't bother completing the first level before uninstalling this from my Mac
Sad loss of $5 (still) - I got a giftcard as a gift, and spent half of it on this game. Sadly, it crashes upon opening. I looked at the pre-req's section, and I had the OS that should be able to run this. However, after purchasing, I noticed a different set of pre-reqs in the "more..." section, needing a lower OS, but a higher hardware than I had. Sadly, the App Store did not warn me about this, so I lost my money to a crashing game. Hopefully there might be an update to fix this some time. Even after 1.22 update, still crashes! The icon looks cool! :)
Game is back up and running. - The game no longer crashes on start up and the Game Center support works great now. No complaints now, still a great game. Just wondering why all the GameCenter Achievments are 0 points. Graphics ATI Radeon HD 2600
White screen at start up!!!! - The game opens, the music plays, and nothing but white shows on the screen. Not working in Yosemite!!!
I enjoy this game - Despite the repetitive nature of the support and the action and the voice acting (I have heard worse) this is a fun game. It is creative and very good looking. I deducted one star for the oddball learning curve and scripted nature of the gameplay but am very glad I bought it.
