Round-trip is worth the $10 - So you hear a lot of people complaining that there's not enough filters in this app. Well, if you're a filter maniac and need around 100+ filters than go for FX Photo Studio (I doubt most people use even a quarter of those, by the way). Even though there's not the same variety nor the filter editing capabilities found in the FX Studio, the filters are really well put together, interesting (much like in Instagram). In that fight, though, FX clearly has the upperhand. What actually makes this app a champion is a single feature: Round-trip support. If you are an iPhoto user this tool makes this app simply unbeatable! You go on iPhoto settings, select Analog to edit your pictures and when you click "edit" on iPhoto it opens Analog automatically. Then, after you're done editing you click on "save to iPhoto" and Analog saves it just like if you had edited the pic on iPhoto. The original file is also kept as a backup, the same way it would if you had done the edition on iPhoto. Also, if you don't want to apply Analog's filters but rather do a regular tweaking using iPhoto's own capabilities you right-click on the picture and select "edit in iPhoto". It's that easy, that seamlessly integrated!
That's it? - I am so used to Realmac Software apps being so functional. This app is SO weak for the asking price. Only 27 filters and 15 borders. $20 bucks for this? I just trusted that because this app was from Realmac Software that there would be a lot more to it than that. You can't combine filters. The amount of filters is extremely lacking. Talk about your buyer's remorse.
