Read App Description Carefully - First, this is a nice app. Does a lot of things well. I also purchased the iPhone app because I wanted to be able to keep records of things while in my car (gas, maintenance completed, etc.) and wanted to sync with the desktop app to do any major data entry (such as entering my vehicle maintenance schedule). Here's what I missed: the apps both say they are INTEGRATED with one another --- and that does NOT mean they SYNC. Here's what integrated means (directly copied from the app's help file): "How to Export Data to an other Device where a copy of About My Car (for iPhone, iPad or Mac) is installed 1- Press 'Send Data for Import'. Data will be included in a file attached to an Email. Attention, exported data won't include cars photos and password information. 2- Customize Email body, if needed. 3- Send Email. How to Import Data 1- Open the email with attached the file to import. 2- Launch the file (double click). The import options window is displayed. 4- Press the 'Add Imported Cars to Existing Cars' button to add cars included into the import file to existing cars. or 4- Press the 'Replace Imported Cars with Existing Cars' button to replace existing cars with the one included into the import file. So, if you're wanting the apps to sync, they don't. Other than that, both the desktop and iPhone versions are nice and have a lot of potential for further development.

Not ready for public use. - This app has a great idea with poor implimentation. Specificailly using this app with an iPhone <--> Mac. I purchase both the iphone app and the mac app. I exported the data on the Mac side and imported on the iphone side. What I got greeted with was a language other than English so I didnt know what it said for importing. I chose the top button hoping that it was import, and the data was imported. It was all screwed up. Data for one car was put under the heading of another car and visa versa. This app is in ALPHA state and should not have been released. It wouldn't have been worth it if the price was 99 cents let alone the high price it is going at. You could create something faster and better using a database on the iphone than this which I will be deleting… soon.

Fixed a few bugs - I agree with past reviewers, this program would be great if there were a true sync function. That said it does what I need it to do and it seems straight forward enough. I've added all my current info for my 2 cars, now I need to add past bills and service records. Having the milage change as entered during fuel stops would be great too. These would make this a five star app. Keep up the good work, so far I'm pretty happy!

Totals - I like the idea of this app but why doesn't it give you totals for expense. Such as why do I have to add up evey fuel up, it should give me a total expense per month or to date etc…Same for repairs, how much is this vehichle costing me per month or year etc..

System failure. - I was lookiing and app the could track all my maintenance by descriptions and mileage intervals. Also that I could enter early information and bring everything to date in 2015. I filled in all my car data information management. Then I start out with my oil changes Start in 2003 and workiing forward from my invoices inputting the date, mileage, cost and note all the way to 2015. When back to take look to see how the data entered. The first look was outstanding, then all of a sudden most of the data was lost. Not all just majority of selected lines. What was left was intermixed. The date did follow sequence. Have not been able to find where to obtain support for Da Pont about my car app issues.

About my Car - It's possible with some of customization, to put your cars in there. But how much time did you want to spend setting this up? One of the examples for a service type was changing the candlepower every 15000 miles. I'm still trying to figure that out, and I've been a mechanic for over 25 years. This is also hard to put my classic or antique cars in that don't get driven much. I do maintenance on mine on a yearly basis, not by mileage. My daily drivers use the mileage like the app. There also isn't a way to do the maintenance hourly like on antique tractors. I like the way unexpected repairs and are handled and the way to add fuel mileage but would like to see an auto calculating mpg field for easier viewing. For the most part the data base is nicely laid out. When I was learning to use the program I received as error when I tried to insert a coma in the 15,000 miles. This error was in Italian. Someone named Andrea got back to me quickly to inquire about the error. She also said that it won't be in the next release, but very soon. I also asked them to add the year of car as a field to the data base. Summary: It's not bad app, but the sync between the iPhone and the mac app are not thought out and clunky. If you get the iPhone app as well as the app for your mac the sync from iPhone to mac app you have to email it to yourself to sync it. I thought this was very poorly thought out and needed some time to get the syncing part of the program right. The syncing function doesn't work as I would think a mac should. This program is in it's infancy and could use some work, but I hope my suggestions will be nice to see in About my Car down the road. In this current release, don't spend your money yet, this needs some of polish but are on the right track for the future, but sounds like they are working on it.
